Daniel, mostly known as "Darwen", is an old friend of Vinnie and is a weapons expert, capable of modifying almost any weapon, and mechanic, repairing Vinnie's car all the times he destroys it. He appears in Sift Heads 5 and Sift Heads Worlds Acts 3 - 7.
Backround[]
Darwen was born in London, England, UK on 1961 to an Albanian-British Christian family. When he grew up he later fled to Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Sift Heads 5[]
Sift Heads 5
Darwen appears briefly in Sift Heads 5. He is in possession of Vinnie's Barrett M82 sniper rifle, and Vinnie comes to him to get it.
Sift Heads World[]
First appearing in Act 3, Darwen plays mostly a minor role in these games.
Act 3: Alonzo's Reinforcements[]
In Act 3, the player has to get a transquliser gun from him.
Act 6: Ilicit Association[]
In Act 6, you are to receive a sliencer for your sniper for the final mission. The player can also upgrade their weapons at Darwen's house (Original version only).
Act 7: Ultimatum[]
Darwen plays a more major role in this chapter. After narrowly escaping the cops, Vinnie and Shorty hide out at Darwen's house. But soon the Italian mafia and Yakuza track them down to Darwen's house and Vinnie must defend Darwen and Shorty. Vinnie eventually succeeds this and apolgises to Darwen for wrecking his home while defending it. Vinnie's car is destroyed during the shootout (it can be assumed that Vinnie had asked Darwen to repair his car after the game ends). While Vinnie goes to kill Alonzo once and for all, Shorty and Darwen have conservation about Vinnie, asking how its like living with a natural born killer and commenting on how Shorty says she makes his life harder.
Sift Heads Street Wars: Prologue (Chapter 8 in Sift Heads Reborn)[]
Darwen has another brief appearance; Vinnie goes to him to get a new gun. After a short conversation about the events of Ultimatium, Darwen then gives the player the choice of either an assualt rifle or shotgun.
Sift Heads Cartels Act 2[]
Darwen makes another appearence in Sift Heads Cartels: Act 2. The game begins with Darwen fixing Vinnie's car once again in his workshop when Shorty shows up to pay for Vinnie's repairs and Darwen makes a comment on how gorgeous she looks, asking where she's going with her white funeral dress. She reminds him that they're attending a funeral when Kiro pulls up with a limousine and Vinnie walks out. After the team leaves, a Russian thug enters the shop and asks where the owner of the car is, in which Darwen answers with "Unfortunately for you, he just left". Darwen informs Vinnie of this. At the end of the game, Darwen calls Vinnie again to tell him "She's ready" after revealing that Vinnie's car is finally repaired. Darwens throws Vinnie the keys and states "Take her for a spin".
Sift Heads Rush[]
Darwen appearing in the game, when Vinnie, Kiro and Shorty are decided to prepare themselves before going to the man, who's working with Yakuza. Darwen was sitting on the porch of his garage and he was confused to see Vinnie's Datsun, instead of shining Shelby GT500, which Darwen gave to Vinnie. Darwen gave a sniper rifle to Vinnie and said that this sniper rifle spits as much lead as an apache and said to be careful with rifle. Vinnie said that Darwen like a father to him, and Darwen said: "Come on. Get out, son!". When Vinnie, Kiro and Shorty are burned Luzio's money down, Vinnie and his crew start waiting for the time to kill Luzio, but at the same time, Darwen fixed the car and Jackson stabbed Darwen's hand with katana, and Luzio approached to Darwen with shotgun to kill Darwen and using him like a bait to set Vinnie in the trap. Darwen refused telling, where's Vinnie and said Luzio that Vinnie will crash Luzio's bones for that, but Luzio killed Darwen. On the next morning, Vinnie and his crew found Darwen's corpse and letter from Luzio and Jackson to visit them in Dock 28. Darwen was buried by Vinnie on the shore of Darwen's favorite lake, and Vinnie payed his respects to him.
