Kate Jansen is a minor female character that made her debut in Sift Head Cartels Act 2. She is the assistant of Inspector Sam Lawrence.
Appearance[]

The first time we see her, she is in an undercover black funeral outfit with a cap, later on we see her wearing an normal police uniform. While she was interrogating Vinnie, she wore a white suit and grey shorts.
Cartels Act 2[]

In Cartels Act 2, Vinnie is about to snipe Luzio. Before he could pull the trigger, she shows her police badge which stops him from doing so. She then appeared in The Hunted chapter alongside Sam Lawrence watching Luzio leave police custody, she was pissed off and thought Vinnie was right, Sam Lawrence calls her out for having admiration for a criminal in which she responses by saying that Vinnie settled the Department way better than them.
Cartels Act 3[]
Kate Interrogating Vinnie.
She briefly appeared in the interrogation room interrogating Vinnie, she tells Vinnie that he should have cooperated with the police. Vinnie comments saying that if he used the legal ways he could have been dead already and Chicago could have been a lot more corrupt to which she replies that he messed with the law and that he will pay for his crimes, Vinnie responds with saying that they won't take them out with their method to which Kate order guard to take him to his cell.
Sift Heads Rush[]
She appeared after Vinnie's escape from prison, where she and Sam understood that Vinnie killed only cops under investigation and she decided that Vinnie knew more than she and Sam. Kate also appeared in the Yakuza HQ along with Sam Lawrence, where's they're took a data from computer to deciphering it and other things before leave, no matter for Sam that they're haven't a warrant to do that. Kate's penultimate appearance in the office of Chicago Police Department, where's one of officers charmed her. She was curious about Amon Rush and got an information about 14 tons of Amon Rush in the Dock 28. Kate's final appearance was shown, when Vinnie killed Luzio. She and Sam cleaned up the trails, saying that Vinnie, Kiro and Shorty are "no longer exist" and let Vinnie and his crew go, like a favor for dealing with Luzio and his drugs. She thanked Vinnie for help and taken Vinnie's car like an evidence that there's really no more Vinnie, Kiro and Shorty.
